Brandon Macneill was named Associate Vice Chancellor for External Affairs in 2017. As a member of the senior management team, his primary area of emphasis is upon revenue generation with a focus on athletics development.
Prior to his arrival in the Mile High City, Macneill served as the Executive Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs at Tulane University, a New Orleans campus he had worked at since 2008. At KU, Macneill spearheaded the department's five-year strategic plan - "Unparalleled Excellence" - and played a key role in the conception and implementation of the Priority Points system which more than doubled the department's annual fundraising.
Macneill's first role in development came at Princeton University, a position he took in 2001 after marketing stints at Steinberg & Moorad (Hawai'i), Dartmouth and UConn. Macneill earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Tulane in 1993 before earning his Master of Education in Sports Management in 1997 (University of Denver Athletics, 2019).
